IBM Club Warwick by-laws

These are the by-laws of IBM Club Warwick as adopted at a committee meeting on May 20th 2013.

  1. The IBM Club Warwick committee includes the Officer posts of Subsection Liaison Officer, Deputy Chairman, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Treasurer, in addition to the Officer posts of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer. It shall be the duty of the Deputy Chairman, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Treasurer, respectively, to assist in the duties and serve as deputy in the absence of the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, respectively. It shall be the duty of the Subsection Liaison Officer to maintain contact details for the subsections and to assist them in providing required documentation in a timely manner.
  2. An invitation to submit nominations for posts on the IBM Club Warwick committee will be included with the invitation to any general meeting where elections are due to take place.
  3. Nominations must be received at least one working day before the general meeting. The chairman of the general meeting may accept nominations from the floor for posts that have no nominee.
  4. Nominations must have the consent of the nominee. Nominations must be supported by a proposer and a seconder, each of whom must be a member of IBM Club Warwick.
  5. Contested posts will be decided by a show of hands, unless any member present requests a ballot.
