IBM Club Warwick
The relationship between IBM Club Warwick event organisers and those members attending events is not the traditional relationship between a service provider and a service user. Although members are asked to make payment via the event organiser, the IBM Club subsidy means that, in effect, IBM Club is paying its members to benefit from the events that event organisers run.
In this context it is important to remember that event organisers give up their own time to run events on behalf of members, and that in return they are entitled to a degree of diligence and promptness from members. Running an IBM Club Warwick event is generally a smooth process, without undue demands on the time of the organiser. However, when members are late in responding with payment when requested the work load increases inordinately. Never assume that you are more busy than the event organiser, or that your time is more important than theirs.
Most of our events have a fairly relaxed lead time, but that is not always the case. On occasion the organiser will have to ask for a very rapid turn around. In either case the organiser will make any deadline clear. Those who fail to honour the deadline should have no complaint if they find they miss out as a consequence.
