Wartime in the Cotswolds

Warwick Club has reserved 20 tickets for Wartime in the Cotswolds at Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway.

Tickets are £11.00 (£10.00 for children) for Warwick Club members, their spouse/partner, and dependent children under 18. Tickets may also be purchased at cost for guests (subject to availability of places) for £18.00 (£16.00 for children) . Full price for these tickets would normally be £20.00 (£18.00 for children) .

Please contact the organiser, Andy Smith, for tickets. Please remember to give your personnel/retiree number, and state how many tickets you would like, and who each ticket which you request at member price is for, their age and relationship to you.

WARTIME IN THE COTSWOLDS SATURDAY 25TH AND SUNDAY 26TH APRIL 2015 The date has been fixed, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April, and planning is underway for 2015's nostalgic 1940s weekend at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway.  Step back in time, pack up your troubles in your old kit bag, and smile, smile, smile.  Travel this beautiful heritage line between Cheltenham Race Course Station and Toddington, stopping at Gotherington and Winchcombe on a steam hauled train. Visitors/members of the public are encouraged to attend the weekend in period dress - civilian or military, but please note that Nazi and SS uniforms, swastika insignia of any sort and any other representations of German uniforms are NOT allowed. The carrying of firearms - replica or de-activated - is NOT allowed unless authorised by the organisers in advance. Please note that for this event, access to all stations, display areas etc is limited to ticket holders only What to expect A light hearted look at life on the Home Front during the 1940s. Vintage vehicles, re-enactors and entertainment. A special intensive timetable enabling you to travel by steam train from station to station. Visitors will be issued with an ID card, which could be asked for at any time - don't forget there is a war on. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight has been requested (subject to weather conditions and availability).
