Discover SCUBA Diving Have you ever wondered what it feels like to breath underwater and hover weightless like an astronaut in space? Then join us for a PADI Discover SCUBA Diving experience (or DSD for short), a chance to experience SCUBA in a safe, swimming pool environment. While this course does not lead to a formal qualification, it’s the perfect introduction to diving and can lead into your PADI Open Water Diver course. Designed by PADI, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (the world’s biggest diver training organisation with over 130,000 PADI professionals operating from more than 5000 Dive Centres in over 180 countries), for those who want to dip their toe into the world of SCUBA. The course is run by Scoobaboosta who are based in Warwick. It consists of two parts: Safety Briefing / Instructional module & the Practical module. Meet the Dive Team & your Instructor who will give you a full safety briefing, outlining the Golden rules of SCUBA to ensure your safety in the water. Then we’ll show you a SCUBA unit, explain its functions & answer any questions you may have before hitting the water. DSD is available to all from the age of 10 years old. You just need to complete a short medical questionnaire to say you are fit to dive. All SCUBA kit and wetsuits are provided - all you need to bring is a towel, swimming costume and a sense of fun! You can bring your own wetsuit if you have one. If you go on to do the PADI Open Water course with Scoobaboosta within a couple of months of DSD, you will get a 25 discount off the Open Water course. If you have any questions please contact me - I am a qualified PADI Divemaster and DSD Leader. Kind regards Jeremy GP approval form if participant answers 'yes' to any of the medical questions:
