Warwick Club has reserved 53 tickets for London Museum Trip at London Museums.
Tickets are £5.00 for Warwick Club members, their spouse/partner, and dependent children under 18. Tickets may also be purchased at cost for guests (subject to availability of places) for £0.00 . Full price for these tickets would normally be £0.00 .
Please contact the organiser, Colin Chapman, for tickets. Please remember to give your personnel/retiree number, and state how many tickets you would like, and who each ticket which you request at member price is for, their age and relationship to you.
We are considering running a coach trip to the 3 major museums in West London. These are the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Because these three museums now have free entry, the only cost would be the coach travel to London. If we can fill a 53 seater coach we expect the cost to be around £5.00 per seat to members. (Note some exhibitions inside the museums do have an entrance charge). This event would be sometime between June and August, and the coach would drop us off, and pick us up, right outside the museums. On a Sunday the museums open between 10:00 and 18:00 (the Natural History does not open till 11:00). The museums are all very close to each other and you can walk from one to the other in a few minutes. We would expect to leave IBM Warwick at 08:30, and will arrive in London about 10:30, we would leave the museums at approx 17.30 and arrive back at Warwick about 19:30. This gives us 7 hours in London. Other sites of interest in the area which could also be visited include Hyde Park, the Albert Memorial, Albert Hall, Kensington Palace and Brompton Oratory.
