On Thursday 22nd December, Collegium, based at St Mary's Church, Warwick, proudly present "A Christmas Celebration". Director of Music Katherine Dienes conducts the Collegium choir in Christmas music and carols, while Martin Jarvis makes the occasion memorable by providing the links with poignant seasonal readings in his own inimitable style. Martin Jarvis Martin Jarvis burst onto the small screen in 1967 in the role of Jon Forsyte in the Forsyte Saga, and immediately became a household name. Since then, his numerous TV roles have included appearances in such popular programmes as "Inspector Morse", "Rumpole of the Bailey", "Lovejoy", and "A Touch of Frost". Martin is in great demand in America, and his film parts, which show his versatility, range from "Taste the Blood of Dracula" to "Titanic". Holder of an OBE and winner of many awards for drama, Martin is also very much at home in the theatre, and in addition is Britain's foremost audio book narrator. Always a busy man, Martin has just completed a spell in "By Jeeves" on Broadway, was on TV in November in Shakespeare's "Much Ado about Nothing", and is currently playing a major role in the feature movie "Framed", now filming. This is a unique opportunity not to be missed. Tickets are bound to sell fast, and huge demand is anticipated for this performance, so to get in the Christmas spirit it is advisable to book early. A donation from the proceeds will be made in support of a new stroke unit for Warwick Hospital.
